- זְקִיף, זְקִיפָאI m. (preced.) 1) erect, upright. Pes.40a ז׳ אסיר if it (the pot) stands upright (so that the moisture cannot run out), the grain is forbidden. (Ms. M. זִיקְפָּא as a noun, an upright standing vessel. 2) elevated, projecting. Targ. Y. Lev. 13:2 שומא ז׳ (h. text שְׂאֵת; some ed. זַקִּיפָא).Pl. זְקִיפִין. Targ. Y. Ex. 27:2.
